Information We Collect 

When you apply for a position or register with HCC, we may collect the following information: 

From Your Resume/Application: Contact information (name, email, phone, address), employment history, education, skills and qualifications, salary expectations, and any other information you choose to include. 

During the Interview Process: Type of position sought, availability, reasons for job changes, strengths and areas for improvement, location and schedule preferences, references, and skills assessment results (if applicable). 

For Placement (if HCC is your employer of record): Social Insurance Number, date of birth, emergency contact information, and banking details for payroll purposes. This information is only collected if you are placed in a position where HCC handles your payroll directly. 

How We Use Your Information 

We use your personal information to: 

(a) Match you with suitable job opportunities; (b) Contact you about positions that fit your profile; (c) Arrange interviews with potential employers; (d) Conduct skills assessments when required; (e) Contact your references (with your permission); (f) Process payroll if you are placed in a position where HCC is the employer of record; (g) Keep your information on file for future opportunities. 

Sharing Your Information 

Your privacy is important to us. We want you to know that: 

We do not sell your personal information. 

Your resume and personal information are only accessible to HCC employees. 

We will not share your resume or details with any employer or third party without first obtaining your verbal or written consent. 

When you give us permission to submit you for a specific role, we may share relevant information (resume, skills assessment results, references) with that employer only. 

Data Storage 

Your personal information is stored in our secure candidate management system (JobDiva) and may also be stored on our website hosting platform (WP Engine). Both providers maintain appropriate security measures and are subject to their own privacy policies. 

Data Retention 

We retain your information indefinitely so we can match you with future job opportunities — unless you request deletion. 

If you are placed in a position where HCC is your employer of record (i.e., HCC handles your payroll directly), we are required to retain certain payroll-related information in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. If you are placed directly with an external employer, these retention requirements do not apply to HCC. 

Your Rights 

You have the right to: 

(a) Access a copy of your personal information held by HCC; (b) Request correction of any inaccurate information; (c) Request deletion of your information from our database; (d) Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time. 

HCC does not sell your personal information.

Security
