Clients (Employers)
Those we provide recruitment and HR services to, and those we contact about current or future staffing needs.
Information Collected: Contact information (name, email, phone number, job title), company information, types and frequency of staffing needs.

How We Use: To provide staffing and HR services, to communicate about Hour Consulting services and relevant staffing matters.
Job Seekers
Individuals registering with HCC for the first time.
Information Collected: Resume and all information included therein (contact information, education, work history), type of position sought, salary expectations, and any other information needed to determine suitability for employment.
How We Collect: When a resume is submitted through our website or email, or when you contact HCC directly.
How We Use: To arrange interviews, to keep on file for future placement opportunities, to match you with suitable positions.
Candidates
Once a job seeker is interviewed by one of HCC’s Recruiters or Consultants, they become a Candidate who will be considered for immediate and ongoing positions with our Clients.
Information Collected: Type of position(s) sought, employment history, major skills, software/tools used, past and expected earnings, reasons for job changes, type of environment and hours sought, location preferences, strengths and areas for improvement, skills testing results (if applicable), and reference information.
How We Collect: In-person interviews, video interviews, telephone interviews, skills testing (when applicable), and from references you provide.
How We Use: To search our Candidate Database when working with clients, to contact you regarding job openings that match your profile, to share your resume with clients (only with your permission), to share test results and references with clients when you are being considered for a specific position.
Assigned Temporary Employees
If HCC places you in a position where HCC is the Employer of Record and responsible for government remittances, you become a temporary employee of Hour Consulting Corporation.
Information Collected: Social Insurance Number, date of birth, emergency contact information, hours worked during placement, rate of pay.
How We Collect: Generally by telephone or email before assignment to a position.
How We Use: For payroll purposes as required by Canada Revenue Agency standards, and for emergency contact purposes.
Website Visitors
When you visit our website, we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our site. Please see our Cookie Policy for more information about cookies and tracking technologies.
Your Consent
We will only collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent.
When you send us your resume, register online, or attend an interview, you are consenting to HCC adding your profile (resume, contact information, key skills) to our internal database.
Your resume and personal information will only be accessible to HCC employees and will not be shared with any potential employer or third party until we obtain your verbal or written consent to do so.

Data Sharing

With Clients: Your resume and related information may be shared with potential employers only with your explicit consent for specific job opportunities.
With Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to help us operate our business. These include JobDiva (candidate management system) and WP Engine (website hosting). These providers have their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
As Required by Law: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Data Retention
Job Seekers and Candidates: Your personal information is retained in our database indefinitely to allow us to match you with future opportunities, unless you request deletion.
Assigned Temporary Employees: If you are placed in a position where HCC is your employer of record (i.e., HCC handles your payroll directly), we are required to retain certain payroll-related information in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. If you are placed directly with an external employer, these retention requirements do not apply to HCC.
Clients: Client contact information is retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter for business development purposes, unless you request deletion.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and the right to withdraw consent. HCC does not sell your personal information.

Removal from Database
You may request to have your record deleted from our database at any time by emailing privacy@hourconsulting.com.
If you have been an Assigned Employee or Subcontractor, HCC will retain only the information required by Canada Revenue Agency laws. All other personal information will be destroyed twelve (12) months after you ceased to be an Assigned Employee or Subcontractor.

You may request access to a copy of your personal information held by HCC by contacting us at privacy@hourconsulting.com. In accordance with applicable privacy laws, HCC will respond to access requests within 30 days.
