The Philosophy
We built giving back into our business model from day one.
When we launched Hour Consulting, we made a decision that most companies wouldn’t make: we committed to sharing our success with the communities we serve. Not as a corporate social responsibility checkbox. Not as a year-end donation when the budget allows. As a fundamental part of how we operate.
The Hour Impact Program or HIP, as we call it, is the result of that commitment. Every placement we make and every HR project we deliver generates a direct financial contribution to community organizations working on the issues that matter most to us.
This isn’t something we do because it looks good on a website. We do it because Koel and Pia, our founders grew up watching their family build a life in Canada as immigrants, and they never forgot that communities are what make that possible. The Hour Impact Program is their way of making sure the company they built contributes to the communities that built them.

How It Works
Here’s how the model works, it’s simpler than you’d think.
The mechanics are straightforward:
Every time we complete a paid engagement, a placement, an HR consulting contract, a career development project, a portion of our revenue is directed to community organizations in the regions where our clients and candidates are based. This means the impact is local.
Beyond financial contributions, our team invests time and expertise:
- Pro bono consulting: We offer our HR and recruitment expertise at no cost to nonprofit partners, helping them build stronger teams and organizational infrastructure.
- Volunteering: Our team members dedicate time to partner organizations, supporting campaigns, events, and community programs.
- Fundraising support: We help partners amplify their fundraising efforts through our network and platforms.
The Hour Impact Program is managed by our founders, team members, and a network of philanthropy advisors who work together to build meaningful, long-term relationships with community partners.

The Causes We Champion
Four focus areas where we believe our work can drive the most change.
- Women’s empowerment: As a company led by women at every level, this one is personal. We support organizations that provide women with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to build careers and businesses on their own terms.
- Education: From early childhood programs to adult learning and professional development, we partner with organizations that make quality education accessible because an informed, skilled workforce builds the kind of communities we all want to live in.
- Children’s Welfare: Children are the future workforce and more importantly, they’re the future of every community we serve. We work with organizations that provide safe, nurturing environments and the life skills children need to grow into capable, confident adults.
- Culture and the Arts: Creative communities are vibrant communities. We support institutions and initiatives that make arts and culture accessible across the communities we serve.

Your Involvement
You’re already part of this, just by working with us.
One of the things that makes the Hour Impact Program unique is that everyone involved benefits without having to do anything extra. The model works because impact is embedded in every engagement.
- If you’re a client: Every time you hire through us or engage our HR services, a portion of that investment flows directly to your community. You’re building a stronger team and a stronger community, simultaneously.
- If you’re a job seeker: Every time we place you in a role or work with you on career development, your community benefits.
- If you’re on our team: Every goal met, every project delivered, every client served contributes to our collective impact.
This is what we mean when we say working with Hour Consulting is a win for everyone involved. Your business grows. Your career moves forward. And the community you call home gets stronger because of it.

Community Partners
Growing our impact, one partnership at a time.
We believe in building long-term, meaningful partnerships with community organizations, not writing checks and moving on. Our community partners share our focus on women, education, children, and culture, and operate in the regions where our clients and candidates live.
As Hour Consulting grows, so does our ability to invest in these partnerships, which means every new client, every new placement, and every new team member expands the reach of the Hour Impact Program.

Be Part of Something Bigger
