About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer (PHP/WordPress) with 3–5 years of experience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable and elegant web solutions using PHP, WordPress, and modern backend technologies. You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values innovation, ownership, and delivering quality code that drives business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to business needs

• Build new features and enhance existing functionality using PHP (Laravel or CodeIgniter preferred)

• Integrate third-party RESTful APIs (JSON) securely and efficiently

• Optimize e-commerce platforms including payment gateways, SEO features, and user workflows

• Utilize Git/GitHub for code versioning and collaboration

• Support Docker-based environments for development and deployment

• Collaborate with UI/UX, design, and product teams to build responsive, user-friendly interfaces

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with PHP (7.x/8.x), WordPress theme and plugin development

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

• Solid experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with Block Theme development and Full Site Editing in WordPress

• Proficiency in Laravel or CodeIgniter frameworks

• Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap

• Experience with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector or Firebug

• Working knowledge of Docker

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or MongoDB

• Educational background in science or engineering (B.Sc., B.E., etc.)

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment
