Backend Engineer (NestJS, AWS, NodeJS)

We are seeking an Backend Engineer (NestJS, AWS, NodeJS) Engineer with expertise in building scalable REST APIs, SQL databases, and AWS cloud services . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend architectures , ensuring high performance and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, database design expertise , and experience with cloud infrastructure and best practices. 3 years of experience within the NodeJS environment is required. Experience with the Serverless Framework would be an asset but is not required. Proficient English communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development:

• Develop and maintain scalable REST APIs using NestJS .

• Ensure efficient, secure, and maintainable backend systems.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices .

Database Management:

• Optimize and manage SQL databases to ensure efficiency and scalability.

• Ensure data integrity and security , implementing indexing where necessary.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps:

• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and manage backend services.

• Implement best practices for deployment and security .

• Work with Serverless Framework (if applicable) to optimize cloud-based applications.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and improve API performance and security .

• Troubleshoot and resolve backend bottlenecks efficiently.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions aligned with business needs.

• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of APIs and system processes.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in backend development, particularly within the NodeJS environment .

• Proficiency in NestJS and REST API development .

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of SQL database design and optimization .

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on backend efficiency.

• Experience with Serverless Framework is a plus but not required.

• Strong English communication skills (minimum 7/10) to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field .
