Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the successful delivery of software projects across web, mobile, data and cloud platforms. This role will involve managing international and local client relationships, working with cross-functional teams (onshore and offshore), and ensuring the timely, budget-aligned, and high-quality delivery of projects. Strong project management experience is required, with a focus on maintaining client expectations and ensuring smooth delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Delivery Management

Act as the primary technical contact for global client engagements.

Oversee project scope, milestones, and expectations, ensuring they align with the Statement of Work (SOW).

Manage project planning, budgeting, and successful execution to meet deadlines.

Drive client satisfaction by managing expectations, addressing concerns, and fostering relationships through regular check-ins.

Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while resolving technical or strategic blockers.
Customer Relationship Management

Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.

Lead feedback cycles, satisfaction tracking, and regular communication to align deliverables with client needs.

Manage and maintain client expectations, conducting regular check-ins and proactive updates.
Team Leadership

Lead and manage software engineers, team leads, and architects.

Provide support for performance reviews, career development plans, and mentorship.

Manage the hiring and onboarding process based on the needs of current and future projects.
Technical Oversight

Oversee the full SDLC to ensure best practices, high code quality, and technical alignment with client needs.

Collaborate with engineering teams to support the technical architecture decisions and project execution.

Align technical solutions to meet both current and future client needs, particularly for mobile, data, and complex web platforms.
Global Collaboration

Work across time zones with global teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

Lead client-facing meetings to maintain relationships and ensure consistent delivery management.

Attend scheduled evening meetings with global stakeholders as necessary.
Required Qualifications
-
6 years of relevant experience in software engineering.

4 years of experience in a managerial or client-facing leadership role.

Proven track record of managing delivery across distributed teams, with experience in small to mid-size projects.

Strong experience with client management, particularly managing expectations and maintaining long-term relationships.

Strong technical foundation in SDLC, mobile, data, and web development, and cloud technologies (AWS, or Azure, GCP).

Hands-on experience leading and delivering small to mid-size software projects, including managing budgets, resources, and teams.

Proven experience in interviewing, recruiting, and playing an active role in the selection of engineers, developers, and contractors for project needs.

Strong people management skills, including the ability to mentor, guide, and manage team members for optimal performance.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Ability to stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in the software engineering industry to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing distributed or remote teams.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira or, Asana,or Trello).

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and scalable architecture.

Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or AI-driven initiatives.
