Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Application Engineer – CRM Applications to own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our core CRM platform. This role will be instrumental in translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient technical solutions. You will partner closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand process requirements and then lead a team to deliver impactful results.

This is a leadership-oriented, hands-on engineering position that requires a deep understanding of SDLC processes, the ability to design enterprise-grade solutions, and the skill to collaborate effectively with both local and offshore development teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Development:
    Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and functionality for the CRM application.

  • Maintenance & Optimization:
    Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance to ensure reliability and scalability.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with business analysts and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • SDLC Ownership:
    Participate in and oversee all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to quality standards and established development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

  • Documentation:
    Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation including process flows, solution design documents, and deployment notes.

  • Post-Deployment Support:
    Lead the testing, deployment, and post-release support of CRM enhancements, ensuring smooth transition into production and user adoption.


Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 5 years in enterprise software development with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role focused on CRM or similar business applications.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in CRM application development, integration, and customization. Strong grasp of enterprise application architecture and performance tuning.

  • Methodologies: Deep understanding of SDLC processes (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).

  • Leadership: Proven experience leading development teams and collaborating with offshore resources.

  • Business Acumen: Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Delivery Record: Demonstrated success in delivering complex CRM projects on time and with measurable business impact.

  • Mindset: Self-starter with strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
