What You’ll Be Doing

As a Litigation Lawyer, you’ll own a portfolio of personal injury files from issuance of Statement of Claim through to resolution at mediation or trial. You’ll work closely with a dedicated support team paralegals, law clerks, and legal assistants who are there to help you stay focused on what you do best: lawyering.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Leading examinations for discovery, motions, and mediations

  • Conducting early case valuations and building strong evidence-based strategies

  • Managing relationships with top-tier medical and vocational experts

  • Moving files post-mediation toward Pre-Trial and Trial with full readiness

  • Contributing to firm-wide metrics and performance reporting

Over time, you’ll take on the firm’s highest-value catastrophic files and help mentor junior team members becoming a cornerstone of what this firm is building.

What You Bring

You’re an experienced plaintiff PI litigator who’s comfortable owning your numbers, meeting deadlines, and being accountable for results. You’ve spent real time in the courtroom and at the mediation table and you’re proud of it.

You’ll need:

  • 3–5 years of dedicated Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience

  • Expert knowledge of Ontario’s Rules of Civil Procedure and the Insurance Act

  • A track record of resolving files through mediation and/or trial

  • Experience managing a significant file volume (75–100 files)

  • Comfort with technology CMS platforms, AI tools, digital trial binders
