Quality Assurance Engineer (Web & API Testing)

We are seeking an Quality Assurance Engineer focused on developing and executing automated tests for web applications and REST APIs , while also performing manual testing when required . The ideal candidate will be responsible for test case creation, bug reporting, and improving test coverage . This role requires a solid understanding of automation tools, API testing, and debugging . 3 years of experience in test engineering is required. Proficient English communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:

• Develop and execute automated test cases for web applications and REST APIs.

• Utilize Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools to ensure application reliability.

• Maintain and update test scripts to align with evolving business requirements.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Perform manual testing when necessary to supplement automation efforts.

• Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases based on project requirements.

• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues efficiently.

• Improve overall test coverage to enhance application stability and performance.

CI/CD & Test Integration:

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.

• Work closely with DevOps and software development teams to streamline testing processes .

Debugging & Troubleshooting:

• Investigate test failures , analyze logs, and troubleshoot automation scripts.

• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues impacting test automation and application quality.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation , including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

• Provide detailed reports on test execution and application performance to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in test engineering with a focus on automated and manual testing .

• Proficiency in Selenium or Cypress or Playwright, or similar test automation tools .

• Strong knowledge of API testing and experience using Postman or similar tools .

• Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools .

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines .

• Solid understanding of debugging techniques and issue resolution in automation frameworks.

• Proficient English communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field .

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with performance testing

• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and best practices.

• Ability to adapt to fast-paced development cycles and agile methodologies.
